Morris Dancing at the Tithebarn Workshops

Things are in full swing around the town with the influx of Morris Dancers and down here at the Tithebarn Workshops is no exception!

We hope everyone is enjoying the festivities and a big thank you to all the people who didn’t believe the gloomy forecast and came out to visit us!

Bradford on Avon Day of Morris Dance

We would like to bring your attention to the first Bradford on Avon Day of Morris Dance which will take place on Saturday 20th May at various venues around the town.  We are pleased to tell you that one of the event sites is at the Tithe Barn next to us down here at the Workshops

There are plans for up to 300 dancers and 100 musicians to take part throughout Bradford, so it should be a great spectacle and we’re looking forward to seeing all the festivities.

The day is raising funds for Dorothy House and more information is available via the BOA Morris Day website.

Acoustic Guitar Innovation – Launch Party

As part of the new look Corner Gallery, Felix and Jackie would like to invite you to a bit of a do down at the Tithebarn Workshops on Sunday 14th May from 6pm – 9pm.

Acoustic Guitar Innovations manufacture their beautiful guitars and ukuleles in a low impact way from ethically sourced materials.  They are all hand made with love by Felix…

We hope to see as many people as possible for what will be a splendid evening!

Battle Weary!

Well… all the occupants of the Tithebarn Workshops would like to say a big THANK YOU to the local Council, the English Civil War Society and everyone involved in the weekends fantastic festivities.  The number of happy visitors was testament to what a success the whole event was and we had the busiest weekend we’ve had for quite some time down here.

We hadn’t realised quite how physical the battles would be and were a bit surprised by the number of cuts and bruises sustained by the participants.  It was very amusing to hear a group in full dress in the Chinese takeaway Sunday night, as they compared bruises while waiting for their Chow Mein!

Great weekend for the Town and we can’t wait for the next big event!
