For those who have followed the Tithebarn Workshops blog over the years you’ll remember our resident ducks, George and Mildred, who come to visit at this time of year…
Last year they failed to put in an appearance, but they’re back today and enjoying a hearty breakfast of bird seed all washed down with water from the dog bowls! Surely this is a sign that summer is well on its way?!
We wanted to bring your attention to an event occurring later this month…
The Tithebarn Workshops are taking part in the Festival which we hope will bring people to Bradford on Avon and showcase the work of the artists at the Workshops and the town.
You can find out more details about what’s happening by visiting the organisers Facebook page
We hope to see you all down here at some point over the weekend.
While I was sunning myself in Gran Canaria storm Doris was doing her worst in the garden at the Tithebarn Workshops. Luckily it was only one of the larger branches of our glorious cherry trees and it didn’t fall towards the galleries, so things could have been a lot worse…
On the plus side, all the spring flowers are now coming into bloom and the garden is starting to look it’s best again.
We hope to see you all down here soon.
Well, to say we were a little disappointed would be an understatement. After 4 and a half hours filming for Celebrity Carry on Barging, all we got was a 30 second scene of 3 celebrities chomping on some of Mel’s scones (extremely good as they are), whilst discussing how best to wash Nigel Havers smalls!! You could just see the ghostly figure of Terry through the tearoom window and then they were off again along the canal. Ah well, they do say any advertising is good advertising!
We’ll have to work on our acting skills a bit more if we’re to get the Tithebarn Workshops a starring role in the next bit of filming down here I guess!
Well it’s finally being aired and we’ve been trawling around trying to find a decent review for the new Channel 5 series Celebrity Carry on Barging…. without much success I’m afraid! Shown at 8pm on Friday nights the show features the above celebs taking on the K & A canal and, with any luck, visiting us here at the Tithebarn Workshops for a bit of retail therapy. There is, of course, a chance we may end up on the cutting room floor, but we’ll see what happens next week!
Well… we don’t care what the reviews say… we had a great day with them all down here and found them to be absolutely charming people. Fingers crossed that we make the cut and good luck with the rest of the show!
We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope you had a good Christmas. It’s all over again for another year and we’re back at it down at the Tithebarn Workshops and there can’t be anybody more pleased than this little fella….
Have you quite finished taking photos?!…
We hope to see everyone soon and to look forward an exciting 2017.
We would just like to wish all our customers and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year, from the Tithebarn Workshops Team!
Thank you for a great 2016 and we look forward to the coming year….
Well it’s the Kennet & Avon Canal Floating Market today, and if the numbers of visitors to the Tithebarn Workshops are as a result of the event, then can we have a floating market every weekend please?!
We hope things are going as well for you all up their on the canal as they are down here, it looks great as usual.
Well, we’re at it again… this time it’s the Wiltshire Times running a piece on the new Corner Gallery at the Tithebarn Workshops…
From left to right we have Jacqueline Byrne, Lisi Ashbridge, Mary Wilkinson, Sotos Achilleos and Tanya Achilleos Lock, who make up the Corner Gallery team. Good luck to all of you in your newly opened gallery.
Don’t forget that tomorrow night is the second of our late night Christmas shopping evenings (3rd December). We hope to see you all down here for some more festive cheer!
Just a quick thank you to all those of you who were able to make it down for the Tithebarn Workshops late night Christmas shopping yesterday evening…
A good night was had by all and if you weren’t able to make it, hopefully you can take advantage of next Saturday (3rd December) for our second instalment!
Many thanks to all involved!
